Well, I had an adventure all by myself today...I went to the Carrefour (equivalent to a walmart) to purchase the things we found out we'll need to supply for the children's book bags. The things that are different are incredibly exciting for our oldest: a fountain pen and a swim cap for crying out loud! For me there's some interesting things too, such as the fact that the binders only have 2 rings (huh? Isn't a binder international?) and they're required to wear white chinese slip-on shoes for "gymnatique"
The adventure for me was driving the rental car for the first time without Matthew, and following the GPS all by myself: this was challenging and nerve-wracking since I had to put my faith in a machine that I've not found entirely reliable so far...I made the 15 km trek each way without incident, thankfully.
Off to a Bonfire now, as honoured guests--will report a bientot!
